Prime Minister’s greetings to Austria celebrating its National Day

Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of greetings to Austria celebrating its National Day.

‘I take this opportunity to express the strong belief that our countries will continue working together, while strengthening our bilateral relations, based on shared European values and economic, cultural, and people-to-people contacts. The solidarity and close cooperation are even more essential in countering the traditional and hybrid challenges facing Europe today. I appreciate greatly Austria’s attention and support to Lithuania’s efforts to protect eastern border of the European Union. At the same time, our joint efforts are of utmost importance in supporting our immediate neighbours from the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkans in their European aspirations and membership objectives’, reads Prime Minister’s letter.
