On behalf of the people and the lnterim Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the acting Prime Minister Rimantas Šadžius extended his sincere greetings on the day of the Restoration of lndependence of the Republic of Estonia.

This historic milestone marks an inspiring journey - one of courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication to freedom and democracy over these years, said Rimantas Šadžius in a letter to Mr Kristen Michal, the Prime Minister of Estonia.

"Estonia has built a modern and dynamic state, and together we can take pride in the remarkable achievements of our Baltic nations. ln the face of Russia's ongoing war in Ukraine, we are reminded more than ever of the importance of unity, of protecting our hard-won independence, and of cherishing our unique national identities.

As close neighbours and trusted partners, Lithuania and Estonia continue to speak with one voice in defence of our region's security and of a free, growing, and united Europe - within the Baltic context, as well as in the EU and NATO", said the acting Prime Minister.

"May this day of celebration inspire even greater unity and determination as we look to the future", said Rimantas Šadžius, wishing peace, prosperity, and continued strength to the people of Estonia.
