Prime Minister’s greetings to Estonia on Independence Day
On behalf of the Government and the people of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of greetings to Estonia celebrating its Independence Day.
‘The road that Estonia has travelled during the years of independence is a source of pride and inspiration for many nations. As a modern, prosperous, and forward-looking country that has achieved a remarkable success over the last three decades, Estonia has much to celebrate.
Today, Lithuania celebrates with Estonia. Our common history has repeatedly shown that the freedom of our nations is interconnected. Our countries share the special emotional bond between our people, as well as strong ties of friendship and partnership.
It is an inspiring reminder of how much the two nations can do together to protect and nurture those values that unite us and in which we take pride.
Our solidarity and close cooperation have never been more critical in countering the challenges that democracies face today’, reads Prime Minister’s message of greetings.
