Prime Minister’s greetings to Malta celebrating its Independence Day
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė has sent a message of warmest greetings to the Republic of Malta, which is celebrating its Independence Day on 21 September.
'Allow me to express Lithuania's high appreciation of the friendly reįations with the Republic of Malta as a strong and reIiable partner in the European Union. As Ukraine heroically continues keeping the frontline of its own freedom and the global security order, our unity and joint support efforts are cruciaI in withstanding and stopping this unjustified Russian aggression, as well as in not letting the globaI community getting used to the flames of war on the European soil.
l strongly beleve that our solidarity with Ukraine and our commitment to defend European values will remain strong, and that our people-to-people contacts, economic cooperation, and cultural exchange will continue to grow in the years to come,' reads Prime Minister’s letter to Malta‘s Prime Minister Robert Abela.
