Prime Minister’s visit to UAE to participate in National Day of Lithuania at EXPO 2020 events and bilateral meetings
Tomorrow, Thursday, October 21, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė will leave the country for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the National Day of Lithuania and other events at World EXPO 2020 and to meet with high-level UAE officials.
The agenda of the visit on 22-23 October, includes bilateral meetings in Dubai and Abu Dhabi with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The Prime Minister will meet with the Lithuanian community and open up the Lithuanian-UAE Business Forum, to be attended by more than 100 representatives of Lithuanian business and business associated organisations. The National Day of Lithuania at EXPO 2020 will end with a concert given by the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra.
The concept of Lithuania’s pavilion reflects the Strategy for presenting Lithuania abroad: Open for Co-creation. The exhibition will showcase Lithuania as a modern and co-creative country, with particular focus on country’s economic potential and creative capacities for global solutions changing lives in and beyond Lithuania.
The Prime Minister is returning to Lithuania on 24 October.
