The XXth Government Resigns
The XXth Government of the Republic of Lithuania, acting in accordance with Article 9(6) of the Law on the Government of the Republic of Lithuania and following the proposal of Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė, adopted a resolution on its resignation at Tuesday's meeting.
Once the resolution is adopted, it is submitted to the President of the Republic on the same day, together with a proposal to authorize the Government to continue performing its duties until a new Government is formed.
The Government is considered to have resigned from the date the President’s decree enters into force.
