Prime Minister Sinkevičius Speaks with Estonian and Latvian Counterparts: We Seek an Even Closer Regional Partnership
The Twenty-First Government will make every effort to further strengthen relations with Estonia and Latvia for the benefit of our region’s shared security, resilience and prosperity. Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius emphasised this today in conversations with the heads of government of Estonia and Latvia.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister M. Sinkevičius held telephone discussions with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal and Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs.
“The Baltic States must make full use of every framework for co-operation to ensure that our region becomes even safer, more resilient, faster-growing and more competitive in attracting investment. Strengthening relations between our countries is a firm commitment and objective of my Government. We must continue our joint support for Ukraine and maintain the attention of our allies and partners on the pursuit of a sustainable and just peace. We must also keep up the momentum in delivering strategic infrastructure projects across the region and continue strengthening transatlantic ties,” said Prime Minister M. Sinkevičius.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the Baltic Council of Ministers, currently chaired by Estonia, and stressed the need for close co-ordination on the most important issues.
