Prime Minister visits Pabradė training ground, where the search for 4 missing US soldiers continues
Expressing Government's full solidarity and support for the ongoing search operation of the four missing US soldiers, Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas visited the General Silvestras Žukauskas training ground in Pabradė on Thursday morning.
'The Lithuanian Government stands in full solidarity and will further provide any needed support for the ongoing search and rescue operation of the four missing US troops. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and brothers in arms', said Prime Minister.
The search and rescue operation for the four US servicemen is continuing, with Lithuanian and allied troops making maximum efforts, the activation of the Lithuanian Air Force and the State Border Guard Service, the involvement of other services, including private companies.
Intensive rescue operations are underway following the discovery of a piece of tracked military vehicle in the wetland area late Wednesday.
