Prime Minister sends Independence Day greetings to Cyprus
Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, on behalf of the Government, extended his warmest greetings to the people of the Republic of Cyprus on the occasion of Independence Day.
“Lithuania highly values the friendly relations between our countries and our cooperation in areas of mutual interest. As Lithuania prepares to assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2027, we look forward to constructive cooperation with Cyprus.
At a time of continued geopolitical uncertainty, our unity and solidarity remain essential. Lithuania appreciates Cyprus's support for Ukraine and our shared commitment to upholding international law and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states. l am confident that our countries will continue to work closely together to strengthen European security and resilience,” reads Prime Minister’s letter.
